The rug is woven in the Ukrainian village of Yavorov. It is the center of woolen weaving. Here the weaving tradition has been continuously preserved since its inception. Some of the first weaving products found on the territory of Ukraine date back to the 11th century. It is known that in the 14th century Yavorov was already one of the centers.

Entire families are engaged in weaving even nowadays and everyone in the family has his (her) part of work. The most popular products are blankets, carpets, socks. A special feature in the manufacture of woolen products in Yavoriv is that craftsmen equip special devices right on mountain rivers for felting wool using streams of water.
