The cup is decorated with Siversky carving. This type of carving comes from the city of Novgorod-Siversky, Ukraine. It is based on volumetric geometric patterns, consisting of simple shapes: triangles, rhombuses, circles. These figures are combined into more complex ones.
Beautiful borders are formed from them (decorations in the form of stripes on top and bottom, usually framing the main pattern). Also, we can see here three repeating elements in the form of circles with crosses inside. Such ornaments were popular during the times of Kievan Rus.
Despite their simplicity, the elements of decorative carving carry deep symbolism. So the circle means the Sun, which in most cultures is the main symbol of creative energy, a sign of Light, Fertility and Health. As a heat source, the Sun represents vitality, passion, courage, and eternal youth. As a source of light, it symbolizes knowledge, intelligence.
Thus, this wooden cup carries the wishes of three eternal values: Goodness, Health and Prosperity.
The cup is wider at the bottom and narrower at the top, making it very stable. The large handle is suitable for large male hands. But the handle itself is not thick, and therefore will be convenient for many
Use and Care:
Do not store the liquid in the cup for a long time. After use, rinse the mug, wipe and allow to dry. Thus, the cup will serve you for a long time.
