Metal earrings with gold-like fittings. Stylized as a replica of Old Slavonic women’s jewelry with an openwork pattern.
- Material: Metal.
Slavs wore them in different ways. In the first version – as a headdress decoration. They were attached to a hoop or ribbon in the temporal zone and they were called “temporal rings”. In the second – as usual earrings and were called – “hryvnia pendants”.
They are made in the shape of a crescent and represent the moon. The moon is an ancient female symbol of fertility, prosperity, intuition, abundance.
Lace patterns with floral motifs look elegant and rich, especially in such a muted golden color.
Such earrings were considered a talisman, because they combine several symbols at once – the Moon, the Sun, Guardian Birds and the World Tree, which give powerful energy, protection, longevity and, of course, beauty.
Variants of stylistic application: tribal dances, historical reconstruction of the costume of a Slav woman, a Byzantine woman. In everyday life – with any feminine outfit, a long skirt in ethnic, boho, vintage style.
