The shape of the spoon is made on the basis of the archaeological excavations of the town Birka (Sweden) and corresponds to the style of the VII-X century. Made in Ukraine using hand carving technique.
Wood carving has long been one of the most ancient types of folk applied art on the territory of modern Ukraine. The master who made these spoons works in the style of Siversky carving (the land of Northeastern – Polesye, the so-called Sivershina). This land has absorbed the elements of the mentality of the Slavs and Scandinavian tribes that previously inhabited it.
The spoons are available in two varieties – plum (dark) and acacia (light). Both trees are highly moisture and wear resistant. The spoon can be used for cold and hot dishes, and also as a spatula when cooking in a pan. The wooden spoon will not scratch the Tephon surface.
Materials
Plum. Acacia. Linseed oil. Each spoon is impregnated with natural oil to increase the lifespan of the spoons.
