This handmade mug with a massive handle is turned from linden wood and decorated with Siversky carving. The large handle will be comfortable for an adult man. Decorative carving technique comes from the town of Novgorod-Siversky (Ukraine). This territory has long united the culture of the Slavs and Scandinavian tribes.
The decoration uses simple geometric symbols – circles, triangles, rhombuses. These are ancient images of natural elements – the Sun (Fire), Earth, Water, Air, the combination of which symbolizes harmony and well-being. Over time, these patterns have become more complex and got aesthetic value.
Each mug is hand carved and has a unique pattern. It is suitable for various drinks – water, beer, mead, vine ect. Such a mug can become an original gift for lovers of items stylized as historical.
