The clay tableware keeps the temperature of any beverage well, so you can be sure your wine or lemonade stays cold while you are setting the table.
About Kosiv Ceramics
The jug is made by hand on a pottery machine using the original technology of firing and painting in the style of Kosiv ceramics. This pottery comes from the town of Kosiv (Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine).
The master chose a drawing in floral motives and depicted sunflowers in his author’s style. Classic patterns of Kosiv ceramics are geometric ornaments, images of plants and scenes of the life of the Hutsuls.
Feature of clay jugs
Pitchers have a quite rich history. When there were no refrigerators, some food was stored in clay tableware. For example, milk could stay in such a jug and not sour for three to four days.
Jam and various salt vegetables were kept in a clay pot without lids for more than a year. Of course, the jugs and pots were not exposed to the sun, they were stored in the coldest part of the house or in a cellar.
